Our Mission: At Beanpatch & Co. our business mission is our personal passion – to bring beautifully designed, well made, practical infant and baby products to our customers. Every product we import is personally selected to ensure that it is safe, high quality, well designed and fun. We only import the brands and gear that we use in our house for our family.
Our Founder: Dana Michels Gabrielsen started her career as a media and entertainment lawyer with a serious case of wanderlust. After a couple years of practice it was time for a change and she moved to beautiful Sydney, Australia.
Dana managed to infiltrate a Scandinavian harbor cruise party one night. There she met a great Norwegian guy who later became her husband. They lived in Sydney for a while until they decided it was time to move on….to Norway. Within a year of moving there, Dana and Henning were married and expecting their first child. And so began another love affair – with Scandinavian design!
While preparing for her daughter’s arrival, Dana fell in love with the beautiful, high quality baby items that were readily available in Norway. The Scandinavian emphasis on design and functionality produces unique and adorable baby items. When she moved home to Los Angeles, she was disappointed to discover that many of those baby items were not available in the U.S. Out of her personal quest to find only the best things for her children, she started Beanpatch & Co., so that she could bring these wonderful items to other families.
Dana lives in Los Angeles with her husband Henning and their little ones, Jasper and Helena.
